End User License Agreement

1. License Grant

Community Connect grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services, including access to community pages, events, and messaging features.

2. Restrictions

• No reverse engineering of any part of the platform
• No resale or redistribution of content or access
• No unauthorized access or scraping
• No use of messaging features to send spam, automated messages, or unsolicited bulk communications
• No impersonation of other users in direct messages or group chats

3. Messaging Features

Community Connect provides two types of messaging: direct one-on-one messages between users, and group chats associated with communities. By using either feature, you agree to the following:

3.1 Direct Messages (1-on-1)

• Direct messages are private communications between two users. Community Connect does not actively monitor private message content but reserves the right to review messages when a report of abuse or violation is submitted.
• You may not use direct messages to harass, threaten, solicit, or send unsolicited promotional content to other users.
• Users can block others at any time, which will prevent further direct message contact.
• Messages may be retained for a period of time for safety and moderation purposes. You should not use direct messages to share sensitive personal or financial information.

3.2 Group Chats (Community Chats)

• Group chats are associated with specific communities and are accessible to all active members of that community. Messages sent in a group chat are visible to all current members.
• Community administrators and owners may moderate group chat content, remove messages, or remove members who violate community guidelines.
• When you leave or are removed from a community, you will lose access to that community's group chat. Your previous messages may remain visible to existing members.
• You may not use group chats to post spam, offensive content, illegal material, or content that violates Community Connect's content policies.
• Community Connect reserves the right to remove messages or disable group chats that violate these terms.

3.3 General Messaging Rules

• All messages — whether direct or in group chats — must comply with applicable laws including those governing harassment, privacy, and electronic communications.
• Do not share content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, or that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
• Community Connect is not liable for the content of messages sent between users but will act on valid reports of abuse in accordance with our moderation policies.
• You acknowledge that message delivery is dependent on network availability and that Community Connect does not guarantee real-time delivery.

4. Ownership

All intellectual property in the platform — including but not limited to the interface, technology, and branding — belongs to Community Connect or its licensors. Content you create (posts, messages, profile information) remains yours, but you grant Community Connect a limited license to display and transmit it as part of operating the Services.

5. Privacy & Data

The collection and use of your data, including messages, is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the messaging features you acknowledge that metadata (such as message timestamps and read receipts) may be stored and processed to operate the service. Community Connect does not sell your message content to third parties.

6. Termination

This license terminates automatically upon violation of any of these terms. Upon termination, your access to messaging features and community content will be revoked. Community Connect reserves the right to retain message records for a reasonable period for safety, legal, and operational purposes.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services, including messaging features, are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Community Connect does not guarantee uninterrupted access to chats or that messages will be delivered without delay or error.
