1. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or using the Community Connect platform ("Community Connect," "we," "us," or "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable policies. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Services. By using Community Connect, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. Accounts found to belong to minors may be terminated without notice.
3. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You agree to keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others.
- You must notify us immediately at info@cconnect.vip if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
4. Platform Features
Community Connect allows users to create and join communities, participate in group and private chats, host livestreams, register for events, and purchase subscriptions. Access to certain features may require an active membership or subscription.
5. Messaging & Chat
Community Connect provides two types of messaging: direct one-on-one messages and community group chats. By using either feature, you agree to the following:
5.1 Direct Messages (1-on-1)
- Direct messages are private communications between two users. Community Connect does not actively monitor private messages but reserves the right to review content when a report of abuse or policy violation is submitted.
- You may not use direct messages to harass, threaten, solicit, or send unsolicited promotional content to other users.
- Users may block others at any time, which prevents further direct message contact.
- Messages may be retained for a period of time for safety and moderation purposes. Do not use direct messages to share sensitive personal or financial information.
5.2 Group Chats (Community Chats)
- Group chats are tied to specific communities and are visible to all active members of that community. When you send a message in a group chat, all current members can see it.
- Community administrators and owners may moderate group chat content, remove messages, or remove members who violate community guidelines or these Terms.
- When you leave or are removed from a community, you will lose access to its group chat. Your previously sent messages may remain visible to existing members.
- You may not use group chats to post spam, offensive material, illegal content, or anything that violates these Terms or Community Connect's content policies.
5.3 General Messaging Rules
- All messages must comply with applicable laws, including those governing harassment, privacy, and electronic communications.
- Do not share content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, or that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
- Community Connect is not liable for user-generated message content but will act on valid abuse reports in accordance with our moderation policies.
- Message delivery depends on network availability. Community Connect does not guarantee real-time delivery of messages.
6. Payments & Subscriptions
- All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Community Connect does not store your full payment card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date.
- Refund eligibility is disclosed at the point of purchase. Event ticket refunds are subject to the organizer's refund policy.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable advance notice.
7. SMS & Text Messaging
By opting into text notifications, you provide your express written consent to receive recurring automated marketing and informational text messages (e.g., SMS and MMS) from Community Connect.
- Consent: Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase. Registration and participation on the website are available without SMS opt-in.
- Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your community interactions and event schedule.
- Rates: Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
- Opt-Out: You can opt out at any time by replying "STOP" to any text message received. After texting STOP, you will receive one final confirmation text.
- Support: Reply "HELP" for customer service assistance via text, or email info@cconnect.vip.
- Carrier Disclaimer: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, bully, or abuse other users — including through direct messages or group chats
- Post or share illegal, defamatory, or infringing content
- Exploit or harm minors in any way
- Impersonate other users, administrators, or Community Connect staff
- Attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent platform security
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to scrape content or send messages
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations
9. Content Ownership
Content you create on Community Connect — including posts, messages, and profile information — remains yours. By submitting content, you grant Community Connect a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and transmit that content as necessary to operate the Services. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not sell it to third parties.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms or for any conduct we determine to be harmful to the platform or its users. Upon termination, your access to messaging features, communities, and content will be revoked. We may retain certain records for legal, safety, and operational purposes.
11. Privacy
Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using Community Connect, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy, including the processing of message metadata for operational and safety purposes.
12. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Community Connect does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. This includes messaging features, which are dependent on network availability and third-party infrastructure.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Community Connect shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services, including but not limited to loss of data, message delivery failures, or unauthorized access to your account or messages.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
